This is the further developed and modernized successor of the K9®-Power harness, first launched on the market by Julius-K9®. The harness was originally developed for working dogs and armed forces and became increasingly popular with dog owners as they discovered the positive properties of the product.
Optimal force distribution
Its most important innovation is the more optimal distribution of the loads placed on the dog. The IDC®-Power harness transmits the forces directly to the dog's chest and not to its neck. This was achieved by modifying the position of the chest strap, patented by Julius-K9®.
-The design of the size and position of the chest strap that distributes the load optimally is based on mathematical calculations.
-During the design of the chest strap we took into account that the loads arrive at different angles to the dog's chest, depending on the size of the dog. That is why the design of the chest strap is different depending on the size of the harness.
Thanks to the reflective elements placed on the different parts of the harness, the IDC®-Power harness can function as a reflective vest. Thus the dog will be visible to drivers in the dark for several hundred meters.
Interchangeable side tag
All Julius-K9® harnesses are sold with an interchangeable side tag, which can be attached with a hook and loop fastener on the side of the harness. You can buy your own personalized tag from our assortment of several hundred pieces, which can be funny, express the nature of your dog and can also serve as a distinctive sign for working dogs. POLICE, RESCUE, BOXER POWER, etc.
Handle with clasp
The handle on the top of the harness does a great service during walks with the dog off leash and results in restraining the dog safely and quickly. Thanks to the developments, the handle together with the ring can be closed with one leash. Thus, accidental entanglement of the dog in branches or other protruding objects can be avoided.
Flashlight Holder
Fundamental accessory for search and rescue dogs, working dogs, those who work in the dark, on the other hand it can be used for evening walks, if we would like to follow the dog's movement. The flashlight holder has a diameter of 15-20 mm.
Side pocket holders
The side saddlebag is available with 3 or 4 liters capacity and can be attached to the larger models of the IDC®-Power harness (0 4). As of 2013 a universal IDC® side saddlebag was introduced in a smaller size and with a capacity of 250 cm3 for storing personal documents, vaccination card, phone or treats.
Breathable, skin-friendly inner lining
We do not pay enough attention to this magnificent property of the harness. The material of the textile sector, called OEKO-TEX® and the related regulations are used in the manufacture of products with the highest standards for humans.

The buckle fixed with hook and loop fastener was developed by Julius-K9® in 2004 explicitly for working dogs. This practical accessory increases the load capacity of the buckle under the dog's thorax by approx. 60 kg. It guarantees the use of the harness in case of a damaged (chewed) buckle. In 2013 it was already fitted to the official service harnesses of the London police dog handler units. Code: 16IDC-P[size]+.
Fitting the dog harness
When fitting the dog harness, care should be taken to the proper fit of the chest strap and belly strap. If the straps are left too loose, the dog may even slip backwards out of it. While a belly strap that is adjusted too tightly is only uncomfortable for the dog, the buckle will be under the dog's armpits and will be painful and rub the skin.
Two things should be kept in mind when adjusting leashes:
-The chest strap has to be adjusted so that between the front legs and the belly strap there is a four finger gap (two finger gap for Baby 1 and Baby 2 sizes).
-The belly strap is perfectly adjusted, if we can slide our fingers under the harness.
